Y4 Residential Visit to London - 16th and 17th March, 2017

It was an absolute delight to join Y4 on their trip to London last week. We left school at 6.30am and travelled down with 30 excitable children and 6 jolly staff and arrived to a London bathed in bright sunshine. Then began a fun filled two days worth of activities.

We started at the Tower of London where we mingled with the tourists. We ate our lunch overlooking Tower bridge just before catching a river cruiser to Westminster. Along the way we saw City Hall, the Shard, St Paul's Cathdral, Millenium bridge (no dementors in sight fortunately), Cleopatra's Needle, the Golden Hind and the Houses of Parliament.

We walked over Westminster Bridge, causing chaos by posing for a photograph, and made our way to the London Eye where we filled two capsules and saw the sights.

We journeyed to our hotel and got dressed up for dinner and the theatre. We went to the Rainforest Cafe for tea and were visited by our mascot Sneydie. We awarded prizes for best dressed boys and girls (I was waiting for best dressed staff but no such luck!) We then walked to the Prince Edward Theatre where we watched Aladdin. It was amazing and the best character was the Genie.

We arrived back at the hotel and everyone was in bed, lights off and quiet by midnight.

On Friday after a rather large breakfast we walked across to the Natural History Museum and spent a super morning there. The best part was seeing Big Blue - the giant whale and of course spending our money at the shop.

We finally returned home at 6.15pm tired, pleased to see our families but with lots of lovely memories along the way.

This was a delightful group to travel with and they represented Sneyd Green Primary School brilliantly. Well done Y4.
