Health Day, 3.1.17

Happy New Year to you all. I hope that 2017 is filled with lots of exciting things for you and your children.

To put us all back in the frame of mind of being healthy after the excesses of Christmas, we have celebrated Health Day in school today. The children have learnt about all different aspects of keeping themselves healthy both in and out of school. To kickstart this, KS1 and KS2 joined me in a mass Squat Challenge during assembly. KS2 were all adamant that they were fitter than me but soon changed their minds. I have never heard such moaning and groaning - that was just the staff - but the children were quite surpsied to see how fit some of the staff were. We then went out of assembly clapping and singing to Justin Timberlake's 'Can't Stop the Feeling' to put us in a positive frame of mind for our learning.

Health Day was a huge success and just what we needed to remind us of the importance of healthy habits.
